Where does my CarReport data come from?

What does “No records found for this vehicle” indicate?
“No records found for this vehicle” indicates that CarReport found no information registered in that category at that point in time. This could mean that we have not yet received the data or there are no current interests recorded.
Mileage concerns
The CarReport uses a large database to search millions of records. It provides the best intelligence available to identify mileage alteration or tampering and will help you decide if the car that’s showing a mileage of 32,000 KM may have actually covered 132,000 KM.
VIN / Chassis Number match

If the unique “Vehicle Identification Number” (also known as the chassis number) on the vehicle doesn’t match the registration document, this may indicate the vehicle could have been stolen or had its identity changed.

Always check that the vehicle’s identification numbers stamped into the bodywork, on the chassis plate and behind the windscreen match the documentation and look Authentic.

Valuation
Using industry data and statistical models updated monthly CarReport will indicate the current market value of the car you’re considering buying.

Vehicle Identification Number

What is a VIN?
VIN is an abbreviation for Vehicle Identification Number. It is the unique identifier for every vehicle built since 1981. It is a combination of 17 alpha numerics. Think of it like the DNA for your vehicle – no two VINs are identical.
Where can I find the VIN?
You can find the VIN number in multiple locations on a vehicle, most commonly behind the dashboard visible through the windscreen, also on the body of the car next to the driver’s seat when the driver side door is open. Sometimes located on the inside of the driver side door. On some vehicles, the VIN is placed on the engine, hood, and other parts. The VIN will also appear on the car registration, insurance policies, service records and police reports.
